The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State has ordered the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) Enugu to thoroughly investigate the case of alleged conspiracy and murder of a new born male child by the mother, one Ada Joy Okonkwo, aged 18, and her mother, one Christiana Okonkwo of about 60 years old,  at Olocha-Adogba in Awgu Community of Awgu L.G.A. on November 7.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, stated that preliminary investigation shows that a kitchen k&ife was used by the said mother to st@b the new born child to deth, following the counsel of her mother, moments after she was delivered of the baby at home.
