Edo Police Launch Intensive Search for Abducted Seminarians

The Edo State Police Command is sparing no effort to rescue three seminarians kidnapped from the Immaculate Conception Minor Seminary in Ivianokpodi-Agenebode on July 11, 2025. The attack resulted in the tragic death of an NSCDC personnel. Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika, is personally leading the rescue operations, deploying tactical teams, including the Anti-Kidnapping Unit.

A Tactical Division has been established in Ivieukwa Community to enhance security and intelligence gathering. The police are working closely with experts and sister agencies to deploy advanced technical intelligence and coordinated operations to secure the safe return of the abducted seminarians.

Recently, a viral video surfaced showing the kidnapped victims pleading for help. The police have assured the Catholic Diocese of Auchi, parents, and guardians that they are doing everything possible to bring the seminarians back safely. The command appeals for calm and cooperation from the public, promising to provide updates as progress is made.
