Compassion in Action: First Lady Office Assumes Medical Care for Ovarian Cancer Patient

In a remarkable display of compassion and public service, the Office of the First Lady of Edo State, led by the Coordinator, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has assumed responsibility for the medical care of 28-year-old Anna Solomon, a woman diagnosed with advanced-stage ovarian cancer. This initiative underscores the Office’s ongoing commitment to promoting women’s health and welfare across the State.

Following the widespread attention her story received on social media and after being aired on the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), officials from the Office of the First Lady of Edo State paid Anna Solomon a visit. Recognizing her need for consistent medical care, the Office has stepped in to provide support, covering the costs of clinical screenings, diagnostic tests, and other essential treatments for her ovarian cancer. This intervention aims to ensure Anna receives the necessary care to manage her condition effectively.

The Office of the First Lady has urged the public to be aware of ovarian cancer symptoms and seek medical help early, while reaffirming its dedication to improving healthcare access across Edo State.
