In a warm and forward-looking meeting at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency’s headquarters in Abuja, NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), CON, OFR, welcomed a high-level delegation from the United Kingdom.
The visiting team led by Ian Cunliffe, International Regional Manager for West Africa (HOIO), alongside Sorrel Evans, Justice and Home Affairs Attaché at the British High Commission, and Edward Wallace, HOIO International Liaison Manager for Maritime Operations arrived on Tuesday, 9th December 2025, for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening operational ties.
During the engagement, both sides discussed avenues to expand cooperation, enhance intelligence sharing, and bolster joint efforts in tackling transnational drug trafficking.
The meeting reflected the growing international commitment to supporting Nigeria’s ongoing war against drug abuse and illicit trafficking, with both parties expressing optimism about future collaborations.
