In the world of Nollywood, where passion fuels creativity and stories come to life on screen, one name stands out not just for talent, but for the unique double life he leads Ezekiel Oikeh, famously known as Producer Mopol. A proud Nigerian police officer by profession and a passionate filmmaker by calling, his journey is one of grit, growth, and an unwavering love for entertainment.
Ezekiel’s first steps into the movie world began in 2010 within the walls of his church, Christ Anointed Grace Ministry. His debut role saw him portray a secondary school student in a film titled The Revolution, produced by Success. That experience lit a spark one that quickly grew into a burning desire to do more than just act.
In 2012, he joined Senior Na King Production (SNK), where he gained deeper industry experience and contributed to several projects including My Choice, Ultimate Choice, and Hunch Back. But it was in 2014 that his producing journey truly began, with his first official production Biggis Ghetto, followed by Ghetto Justice both under SNK.
Soon after, Ezekiel established his own platform, Ezekiel.O.Production, where he began shaping his own cinematic vision. His first personal project was The Forces, a bold production featuring Nollywood veterans Fred Ariko and Andrew Osawaru. Although financial challenges kept the film from release, he didn’t let that setback define him.
In 2018, he came back stronger with The Reward of the Wicked, featuring a powerhouse cast including CY Standard Igwe, Fred Ariko, Andrew Osawaru, Rita (Mama K), and Joy Onos. The momentum continued in 2019 with the successful production and launch of Spiritual Padding, a film that marked another significant milestone in his career.
Balancing his duties as a police officer with the demands of filmmaking hasn’t been easy. There are times he’s had to apply for leave just to commit himself fully to a production. Still, when people ask how he manages both worlds, his answer remains simple and heartfelt: “I love what I do and that’s what keeps me going.”
Ezekiel Oikeh, aka Producer Mopol, is living proof that passion knows no boundaries not even a badge.
