London Central Mosque to Host Final Prayers for Anthony Joshua’s Late Aides on Sunday

The London Central Mosque will on Sunday, January 4, 2026, host the Janaza prayer service for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, two key members of former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua’s team who lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Nigeria.

The funeral prayer is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the mosque on Park Road, London, and is expected to draw family members, friends, and members of the global boxing community who have continued to mourn the painful loss.

Ghami and Ayodele’s bodies were recently repatriated to the United Kingdom following the fatal crash that occurred on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State. The accident involved a Lexus SUV conveying Joshua and his entourage.

While Anthony Joshua reportedly sustained minor injuries and survived the incident, the crash claimed the lives of his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, and his personal trainer, Latif “Latz” Ayodele, both of whom died at the scene.

Confirming the burial arrangements in a statement on Saturday, Boxing King Media extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, noting that the entire boxing community stands in solidarity with them during this period of grief.

The passing of Ghami and Ayodele has been widely felt within and beyond the boxing world, where both men were respected for their professionalism, dedication, and close bond with the former world champion.
