Tinubu Vows Relentless Manhunt for Kasuwan Daji Attackers

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered an all-out security operation to track down and arrest the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State, declaring that those behind the violence will face the full weight of the law.

The directive, issued on Sunday, mandates the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services to work together to hunt down the attackers and secure the immediate rescue of all abducted victims, including women and children.

The attack, which claimed the lives of villagers and led to multiple abductions, is believed to have been carried out by terrorists fleeing from Sokoto and Zamfara States following a United States air strike on Christmas Eve. President Tinubu strongly condemned the assault, describing it as a grave test of the nation’s resolve.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to the government and people of Niger State, assuring them that the tragedy would not be ignored or unanswered.

“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people,” the President said. “They must face the full consequences of their criminal actions. No matter who they are or what their intent is, they will be hunted down. Anyone who aids or enables them in any way will also be caught and brought to justice.”

President Tinubu further assured residents that security forces have been directed to intensify operations around vulnerable communities, especially areas close to forests that have long served as hideouts for criminal groups.

Calling for unity at a difficult time, the President urged Nigerians to stand together and reject divisive rhetoric that could weaken national cohesion. He emphasized that collective resolve and shared humanity are essential to overcoming the threat of terrorism.

“These times demand our humanity,” he said. “We must stand together as one people and confront these monsters in unison. United, we can and must defeat them, deny them any sanctuary, and reclaim peace and security for our communities.”
