Trump Vows To Be Involved In Choosing Iran’s Next Leader, Rejects Khamenei’s Son

United States President Donald Trump has declared that he wants to play a role in selecting Iran’s next leader following the death of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

Speaking in an interview with Axios, Donald Trump said the United States must be involved in the process that will determine who leads Iran next. He also rejected the possibility of Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei, taking over the position.

Donald Trump described Mojtaba Khamenei as unsuitable for the role and said the United States wants a leader who will promote peace and stability in Iran.

According to Donald Trump, choosing the right successor is important to prevent future conflicts between the United States and Iran. He warned that installing the wrong leader could push the two countries back into conflict within a few years.

In his remarks, Donald Trump said Khamenei’s son would not be acceptable as Iran’s next leader. He added that the United States wants someone who can bring harmony and peace to the country.

The comments come amid rising tensions in the Middle East following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader during ongoing military operations involving the United States and Israel.

Meanwhile, European officials have expressed concern about the political uncertainty in Iran. Some regional governments fear the situation could escalate into internal conflict within the country.

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said several Middle Eastern countries are worried about the possibility of civil unrest or a civil war in Iran as the crisis deepens.

Kallas explained that regional leaders are closely monitoring the situation because the leadership transition in Iran could significantly affect stability across the Middle East.

She also stressed the importance of diplomacy in resolving the growing tensions.

According to Kallas, wars ultimately end through diplomatic engagement, and there must be room for negotiations to prevent further escalation in the region.

The European Union is currently pushing for diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and avoid a wider regional conflict.

As the crisis continues, the question of who will succeed Iran’s late Supreme Leader remains uncertain, with global powers closely watching the developments.
