Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that his long and remarkable career could soon come to an end.
The Portuguese icon says the 2026-27 season may be his final year in professional football.
Cristiano Ronaldo has enjoyed an extraordinary career since making his professional debut in 2002. He began at Sporting Lisbon before earning a move to Manchester United in 2003.
The transfer made Cristiano Ronaldo one of the most exciting young players in Europe.
At Manchester United, he developed into a global superstar. He later joined Real Madrid in a then-world-record transfer worth €94 million.
His time in Spain brought even more success. Cristiano Ronaldo won several major trophies with Real Madrid and became one of the club’s greatest-ever players.
After that, he moved to Juventus in Italy. He later returned to Manchester United in 2021.
However, his second spell at Old Trafford ended sooner than expected. Cristiano Ronaldo eventually joined Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr on January 1, 2023.
His current contract with Al Nassr runs until June 30, 2027. So far, there have been no reports of a new deal.
