Actor Saka defends Funke Akindele’s strict approach on movie sets, describing her as caring, humble and focused on delivering quality work.

Veteran Nollywood actor Afeez Oyetoro, popularly known as Saka, has defended Funke Akindele over claims that she is too strict on movie sets.

Saka said he had no issues with the actress during their time working together.

The actor featured in Funke Akindele’s 2025 movie, Behind The Scenes.

Speaking during an interview with FeelrightTV, Saka explained why he believes her strict approach is understandable.

According to him, managing a major movie production requires discipline and strong leadership.

Saka said Funke Akindele treated him well while they worked together.

He also described her as humble, caring and professional.

The veteran actor said her firmness is necessary when handling a large production.

He noted that managing a multimillion-naira project comes with huge responsibilities.

“I have worked with Funke Akindele, and she treated me very well. To those saying she’s strict on set, to be honest, I like it that way.”

Saka added that he was speaking openly about his experience and had no personal reason to praise her.

He believes Funke Akindele must be firm to keep a major production running smoothly.

The actor further explained that Akindele’s strictness does not mean she has a bad temper.

Instead, he said she expects everyone on set to do their job properly.

“It’s not that she has a bad temper. Once you do the right thing, she has no problem with you.”

According to Saka, Funke Akindele takes her work seriously.

However, he said she knows how to relax when it is time to have fun.

“When it comes to work, Funke doesn’t joke. But when it’s time to entertain, she’s playful.”

Saka also suggested that lazy people may struggle to work with Akindele.

He said she expects dedication from everyone involved in her productions.

If you are lazy, you can’t work with her because she doesn’t like laziness.”

The actor maintained that he had nothing against Akindele.

Instead, his comments offered a different view of the actress’s working style.

For Saka, Funke Akindele’s strictness is part of her commitment to producing successful films.

Her approach, he suggested, may be demanding. However, it also helps maintain discipline and focus on set.
