Assures Commuters of more measure that will be put in place in a bid to make the roads safe for users
Ovia North East Local Government Council Chairman Honorable Collins Ogbewe have assured Commuters and travellers that plough the Benin -Lagos Express road of more measure to be put in place in a bid to make the road safer for users.
The Council Boss made this known when he alongside his Ovia South West Counterpart joined the Honourable Commissioner for public Security and Safety, Kingsley Uwagbale to inspect the ongoing road sides clearing by the State Government.
Appreciating the State Governor His Excellency Godwin Obaseki for his unwavering Commitment to the warfare and Security of Citizens in the State and those passing by, Honourable Ogbewe noted that the Local Government will continue to leverage on already well thought out plan of the Governor to placing the State on its path of development.
Addressing the Chairman earlier, the Commissioner for public Security and Safety Kingsley Uwagbale stated that the State Government decided to embarked on the road side clearing following security report in the need to make the roads safe for users before, during and after the yuletide.
He also call on the Local Government Council Chairmen to help sustain the exercise by ensuring that the process is not a one off thing but rather a continuous process as security was a business of everyone.
