The Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended his deepest condolences to two prominent figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC): the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, and the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, over the recent loss of their parents.

In a heartfelt message issued on behalf of the government and people of Edo State, Governor Okpebholo expressed profound sympathy to Governor Ododo on the passing of his respected father, the Late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, and to Prof. Yilwatda on the death of his beloved mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.

“Losing a parent is one of life’s most painful trials,” Governor Okpebholo noted. “Yet, in this moment of grief, may you find comfort in the remarkable lives they lived marked by faith, humility, and an unwavering commitment to family and community.”

The Governor prayed that Almighty Allah grants Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and that God welcomes Mama Lydia Yilwatda into His eternal peace. He also prayed for strength and divine comfort for both families during this difficult time.

Governor Okpebholo concluded his message with words of encouragement, hoping the legacies of the departed continue to inspire not just their families, but the nation at large.
