Two teenagers allegedly influenced by an adult member of Church, sold their organs to a Medical Doctor in Abeokuta, Ogun State for the sum of N100,000 each.
The situation was blown open in September 12, 2022, when one of the started vomiting and was taken to hospital by her father who thought it was typhoid or malaria, but upon request by the Doctor for medical test, it was revealed that her private part was damaged.
The sick girl who became unconscious after her health deteriorated, disclosed to her father when she gained consciousness, that a female member of his Church trafficked them to Ogun State where their organs were sold to a Medical Doctor.
The teenagers alleged that the trafficker convinced them to carry out the illegal act, because the one whose father is a bishop does not pay them enough money, that she will take them to a place they would be paid N100,000 each. And also warned them not to tell their parents, or they will be killed.
Their ovaries/eggs were harvested illegally by the Medical Doctor which resulted in severe pains and bleeding.
However, the major suspect alleged that the two girls volunteered to donate their eggs, and was compensated with the sum of N20,000 by one of the girls for introducing them to the hospital.
