The Nigeria Police Force, in a deeply symbolic farewell, mounted a Guard of Honour today in Abuja for the late former Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Solomon Ehigiator Arase, CFR, NPM, fdc, FCIArb.

As his remains began their journey to his home state of Edo, Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, paid tribute to Arase, describing him as “an officer with enviable strength of character” and a man whose leadership left an indelible mark on the Force.

With salutes raised and heads bowed, the Force bids farewell to a towering figure in Nigeria’s security history.
