Judiciary Workers Applaud Governor Okpebholo for Releasing Withheld Salaries, Hail Leadership as Fair and Compassionate

The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has extended heartfelt appreciation to Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, following his approval of the long-delayed payment of withheld salaries owed to judiciary workers in the state.

Describing the move as a powerful act of compassion and responsible leadership, the Union hailed the governor’s intervention as a turning point in restoring morale and trust among judicial staff.

In a letter of commendation signed by its National President, Marwan Mustapha Adamu, JUSUN expressed gratitude to the Governor, noting that the release of the funds had brought immense relief to its members and reaffirmed confidence in the government’s commitment to staff welfare.

“This gesture has not only brought great relief to us but has also rekindled our trust and confidence in your leadership,” the letter stated. “Your decision to address this long-standing issue reflects empathy, fairness, and responsiveness qualities that inspire dedication and productivity.”

The Union’s National Working Committee praised Governor Okpebholo for prioritizing the well-being of judiciary workers and for taking steps to restore faith in public institutions. The letter emphasized that the Governor’s action goes beyond financial redress it sends a strong message of justice and accountability.

JUSUN further pledged its continued support for the Governor and his administration, reaffirming loyalty to his vision and reforms aimed at improving the state’s governance structure.

“By settling this obligation, you have contributed significantly to industrial harmony and boosted confidence in the judiciary system,” the Union added.

Governor Okpebholo’s decision marks a critical stride in fostering a more motivated and effective judiciary workforce in Edo State, reinforcing his administration’s reputation for fairness and responsiveness to the needs of workers.
