Lagos residents are expected to elect their local government chairman and councilors for a fresh four-year term across 20 local Government Areas and 37 Local Development Areas of the State.
The Lagos state Government announced that the voting is expected to begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. in all the polling units, while those in the queue by 3 p.m. will be attended to.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Lagos state, Baba Jide Sanwo Olu and his wife, Ibijoke arrived the the polling unit at 11:03am in 08 Eti-Osa at Ikoyi:Obende, Lagos to exercise their franchise.
However, LASIEC officials also arrived Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu’s polling unit on Lateef Jalande Road Ikoyi with the materials needed.
At about 9:am Unit 09 WArd L2, Lateef Jalandhar Road in Ikoyi the Unit designated for the Lagos State Governor to vote had less activities.
