The majestic throne of Oduduwa has declared its royal confidence in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), as His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, hailed the Corps as a rapidly advancing powerhouse in the nation’s internal security structure.
Welcoming the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, to his palace in Ile-Ife during the Corps’ operational tour of Osun State, the Ooni praised the strategic evolution that the Corps has undergone under the current administration. He lauded the professionalism, discipline, and growing tactical efficiency now defining the NSCDC across Nigeria.
As a globally respected monarch, a cultural ambassador for the Yoruba race worldwide, and an influential advocate for peace and sustainable development on the international stage, the Ooni emphasized that the NSCDC has become a dependable frontline agency in safeguarding communities, resolving conflicts, defending critical national assets, and supporting the safety of citizens.
“The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps is now a symbol of hope to our communities. A Corps that listens, responds, and protects with purpose,” he declared.
Professor Audi, deeply appreciative of the royal honour, reaffirmed that the Corps will continue to rise to its constitutional mandate with courage and patriotism. He stressed that collaboration with royal institutions remains vital, as intelligence from the grassroots forms the foundation of effective national security.
He assured that the region will also continually benefit from strengthened operations, enhanced personnel capacity, and improved intervention capabilities, ensuring peace remains unshaken across all communities.
The operational tour continues as the NSCDC expands its influence and reinforces its mission. A mission anchored on loyalty to the nation, love for the citizens, and a relentless pursuit of safety everywhere.
