The event, themed “Shine Beyond Borders,” attracted professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Instead of a formal speech, Governor Monday Okpebholo held an interactive conversation. As a result, participants discussed development and investment opportunities.

According to the governor, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic reforms have improved state finances. Consequently, Edo State now has more resources for development. In addition, the government can fund key projects without relying on federal bailouts.

Meanwhile, work continues on the Ekpoma–Auchi section of the Benin–Okene Highway. Furthermore, the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway now extends through Edo State.

Security also received major attention. The governor announced an Army Forward Operational Base. Moreover, the state secured the MOPOL 82 Squadron. In addition, the government recruited 500 Forest Guards. Because of these efforts, Edo has become safer for residents and investors.

Governor Okpebholo also encouraged the diaspora to promote Edo wherever they live. Above all, he asked them to speak positively about the state. In turn, that support can attract more businesses and investments.
