Charismatic Road, Benin City

Residents of Charismatic Road, off Ekhenwan Road in Benin City, have praised Governor Monday Okpebholo. He inspected projects in Edo South on Sunday evening.

The Charismatic Road project is now about 90% complete. Workers first laid concrete on part of the road. Then, they asphalted the remaining section. They also completed drainage systems. In addition, they built two water retention ponds.

Meanwhile, residents expressed joy over the progress. Chief Joseph Amadasun said the area used to flood badly. However, he said the road now stays dry even after rain. He praised the governor’s work.

Also, he compared the effort to former Lagos Governor Lateef Jakande. He said both leaders focus on practical results.

Similarly, Aliyu said he has lived in the area for seven years. He noted that the road was always bad during rainy seasons. Now, he said things have improved greatly.

In addition, Mrs. Enoch also shared her experience. She said walking through the road was difficult in the past. However, she said the new drainage has solved the problem.

Furthermore, Governor Okpebholo also visited Sapele Road. He inspected ongoing work there. He later stopped at the Christ Embassy Camp Ground to check drainage quality.
