André Onana Trabzonspor loan is confirmed by Manchester United, while Fenerbahçe complete the signing of Manchester City defender Nathan Aké.
The André Onana Trabzonspor move is official. Manchester United have confirmed that goalkeeper André Onana has rejoined Trabzonspor on a season-long loan for the 2026/27 campaign.
However, the André Onana Trabzonspor transfer still depends on international clearance and player registration.
Manchester United confirmed the move in an official statement.
“Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana has joined Trabzonspor on loan for the 2026/27 season, with the completion of international transfer clearance and registration still pending.”
The André Onana Trabzonspor reunion follows his successful spell with the Turkish club last season.
During that campaign, the Cameroon international made 40 appearances.
He also helped Trabzonspor finish third in the Turkish Süper Lig and win the Turkish Cup.
Meanwhile, Onana joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023.
Since then, he has made 102 appearances for the Premier League club.
Manchester United wished the goalkeeper success for the coming season.
“Everyone at Manchester United wishes André Onana all the best for the new season.”
Reports also suggest the André Onana Trabzonspor loan could earn Manchester United up to £1.3 million.
However, the agreement does not include an option for Trabzonspor to sign him permanently.
Fenerbahçe Complete Nathan Aké Signing
Meanwhile, Turkish club Fenerbahçe have announced the signing of Netherlands defender Nathan Aké from Manchester City.
The club confirmed that both parties reached an agreement and completed the contract signing.
However, Manchester City have not yet released an official statement on the transfer.
In its announcement, Fenerbahçe said:
“Our club has reached an agreement with Netherlands international Nathan Aké and officially signed a contract with the player.
“As a participant in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he will join the squad at the training camp in Austria once his vacation ends.”
The André Onana Trabzonspor deal and Nathan Aké’s move to Fenerbahçe mark two major transfers involving Turkish clubs ahead of the new football season.
