Gov Okpebholo Leads Thanksgiving for Idahosa’s Late Mother

Gov Okpebholo Leads Dignitaries to Thanksgiving Service for Edo Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa’s late mother, Esther Idahosa, in Benin City.

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Sunday led top dignitaries to a special thanksgiving service held in honour of late Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa, mother of the Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.

The thanksgiving service took place at Living Faith Church, Sapele Road, Benin City. In addition, the event attracted political leaders, government officials, family members, friends, and well-wishers from across Edo State.

Furthermore, Governor Okpebholo’s attendance showed the support and solidarity of the Edo State Government with the Idahosa family during the period of remembrance and thanksgiving.

Several prominent personalities attended the solemn gathering. Among them were former Edo State Governor, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, and former Deputy Governor, Lucky Imasuen.

Also present was the Deputy State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sylvester Aigboboh. Members of the Edo State House of Assembly, civil commissioners, political associates, and close family friends also attended the service.

Moreover, the gathering reflected the strong respect many people had for the late matriarch. Attendees joined the family to celebrate her life, legacy, and contributions to society.

During the service, Pastor Emmanuel Ebiwoye delivered the sermon. He preached from the Book of Mark 4:11 and encouraged Christians to remain faithful and steadfast in every situation.

In addition, the cleric urged worshippers to rely completely on God despite life’s challenges. He stressed the importance of faith, prayer, and perseverance.

Special prayers were also offered for the Idahosa family. Furthermore, church leaders prayed for the Edo State Government and the continued peace, unity, and progress of the state.

Family Honours Late Esther Idahosa

The thanksgiving service formed part of activities organised to honour the memory and impact of late Mrs. Esther Idahosa, who died at the age of 95.

Family members and associates described her as a devoted mother, caring grandmother, and woman of virtue. They also noted that she positively influenced many lives through her kindness, wisdom, and support for others.

Meanwhile, many sympathisers used the occasion to encourage the Idahosa family and celebrate the lasting legacy of the late matriarch.

Overall, the thanksgiving service provided an opportunity for family members, friends, and political leaders to reflect on her life and contributions to society.
