Davido questions the delay in Osun guber results upload, urging INEC to post polling unit results on IReV and protect voters’ choices.
Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has questioned the delay in uploading Osun guber results to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal, IReV.
Davido raised the concern on Saturday through a series of posts on his 𝕏 account as voting continued across Osun State.
The singer urged INEC to upload the Osun guber results without unnecessary delays. He said voters deserve clear and timely information throughout the electoral process.
Davido also called on voters to remain at their polling units after casting their ballots. He urged them to watch as officials record and upload the results.
He asked voters to confirm that the figures on the electronic EC8A result forms match the results announced at their polling units.
According to Davido, voters should not leave until officials properly document and upload their results to IReV.
He also encouraged voters to take clear pictures of their polling unit result sheets. He asked them to send the images through a WhatsApp contact he provided.
Davido expressed frustration over the absence of uploaded results hours into the voting process.
“INEC, it is now 2:33 p.m., yet no result has been uploaded to the IReV portal. What is the delay?” he wrote.
He said Nigerians deserve transparency and timely updates during the election.
The singer further urged voters to ensure their polling unit results appear on IReV while they are still present.
He also stressed the importance of checking the figures entered on the electronic EC8A forms.
“We will follow our votes bumper to bumper!” Davido added.
His message encouraged voters to stay alert and protect their votes throughout the result-upload process.
The call comes as attention remains focused on the handling and publication of Osun guber results, with voters watching closely for updates from INEC.
