Popular Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has showered praises on singer Johnny Drille, describing him as the best musician in the Nigerian music industry.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Crea8torium podcast, Don Jazzy said Johnny Drille is unique and has no real competitor in the industry. According to him, the singer is highly talented and stands out because of his ability to handle different aspects of music professionally.
The music executive explained that Johnny Drille can sing, write songs, mix music, and perform excellently on stage. He also noted that the singer delivers the same quality of vocals during live performances as he does in the studio.
Don Jazzy said, “There is nobody like Johnny Drille in the Nigerian music industry right now. He is in his own lane. He is the complete musician because he can do everything.”
Meanwhile, award-winning singer Tiwa Savage has opened up about the challenges she faced when she switched from R&B music to Afrobeats after returning to Nigeria in 2012.
Tiwa Savage, who previously worked as a backup singer for international stars like George Michael and Mary J. Blige, said Don Jazzy played a major role in helping her adapt to the Nigerian music scene.
According to her, Don Jazzy encouraged her to believe in herself and made her understand that talent has no limits. The singer added that she is happy she returned to Nigeria and does not regret her decision to embrace Afrobeats.
