Nigerian Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has broken his silence over the rumours surrounding his exit from the traditional wedding of TikTok stars Jarvis and Peller.
The story gained attention after a video showed Seun leaving the wedding venue in Lagos. Soon after, many social media users claimed he walked out because he was angry.
According to several bloggers, one of the Masters of Ceremony compared music star Wizkid with Seun’s late father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. As a result, many people believed the remark caused his sudden departure.
However, Seun Kuti has dismissed the reports.
Speaking in a viral video alongside Fuji singer Malaika, Seun explained that he left the event to visit the Shrine. He added that bloggers misunderstood his actions and created a false story.

He insisted that none of the MCs compared Wizkid with Fela Kuti during the ceremony. Instead, he said the hosts praised Seun Kuti throughout the event.
Furthermore, Edo Pikin described the viral claim as completely false. He also advised Seun to verify information before reacting to stories on social media.
