Tinubu Secured The Highest Number Of Vote In APC Presidential Primary in Edo State after polling 131,096 votes across 192 wards.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recorded a sweeping victory in the APC presidential primary election held across Edo State.
Tinubu secured 131,096 votes during the exercise conducted in all 192 wards across the state.
His challenger, Osifo, managed to secure only one vote in the entire primary election.
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, announced the result after the collation process at the APC Secretariat in Ikpopan, GRA, Benin City.
Okpebholo, who served as the returning officer for the primary, described the exercise as peaceful and transparent.
“The election was peacefully conducted across Edo State,” the governor said.
He explained that voting took place simultaneously across the federation under APC guidelines.
Okpebholo added that he personally participated in the exercise at his ward before officials collated results from all local government areas.

In Edo South Senatorial District, Tinubu dominated the poll with wide margins across the councils.
In Oredo Local Government Area, Tinubu secured 9,177 votes, while Osifo got zero votes.
Ikpoba-Okha delivered 13,147 votes for Tinubu, while Osifo again recorded zero votes.
In Egor, Tinubu polled 10,074 votes as Osifo failed to secure any vote.
Orhionmwon Local Government Area produced 6,858 votes for Tinubu. Osifo recorded zero votes.
In Ovia South West, Tinubu secured 10,044 votes, while Osifo got none.
Ovia North East gave Tinubu 7,983 votes. Osifo recorded his only vote in the council.
Uhunmwonde Local Government Area also voted massively for Tinubu with 6,159 votes.
Tinubu also dominated Edo North Senatorial District during the exercise.
Etsako Central delivered 4,564 votes for the president. Etsako East produced 7,123 votes.
In Owan East, Tinubu secured 5,492 votes, while Owan West delivered 4,139 votes.
Akoko-Edo gave Tinubu 7,464 votes, while Etsako West delivered 11,497 votes.
The president also cleared all councils in Edo Central Senatorial District.
Esan South East delivered 5,441 votes for Tinubu. Esan North East recorded 4,111 votes.
Igueben produced 5,467 votes, while Esan West delivered 6,820 votes.
Esan Central also voted heavily for Tinubu with 5,536 votes.
Party officials and observers monitored the exercise across the state. APC leaders described the turnout as impressive and orderly.
