Health Workers’ Resilience and Sacrifices Are Critical, Governor Monday Okpebholo has said while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery across Edo State.
The governor made the statement during the seventh anniversary celebration of the Edo Specialist Hospital (ESH). He praised healthcare workers for their dedication and described them as key partners in the state’s development.
Governor Okpebholo was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, at the event.
According to the governor, the resilience and commitment of health workers have helped improve access to quality healthcare in Edo State. He said their efforts continue to save lives and strengthen the health sector.
Furthermore, he congratulated the management, staff and development partners of Edo Specialist Hospital. He commended them for maintaining high standards of professionalism and quality healthcare over the past seven years.

In addition, he praised Edo Specialist Hospital for its commitment to patient care. He said the hospital has become a model of excellence through innovation, professionalism and quality service.
“The achievements of Edo Specialist Hospital over the past seven years show what dedication and visionary leadership can achieve,” the governor said.
He added that the hospital continues to place patients first. As a result, many residents now enjoy better access to specialist healthcare services.
Governor Okpebholo also stressed that healthcare remains one of his administration’s priorities. Therefore, the government will continue to invest in facilities, equipment and healthcare personnel across the state.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Medical Director of Edo Specialist Hospital, Dr. Mrs. Anthonia Inibokun Njoku, thanked the Edo State Government, members of staff, patients and development partners for their support.
She said the hospital has recorded significant progress since its establishment in 2019. Over the years, it has expanded its services while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.
Dr. Njoku also assured residents that the hospital would continue to improve its services. According to her, the management remains committed to delivering world-class healthcare built on compassion, integrity and innovation.
